Best Starter Sniper
SniperA Sniper built on a camo cloak loop that very nearly never ends. Purification refunds all contested health the moment you cloak, Emperor's Grace makes you invulnerable for two seconds, and Lingering Concealment holds the Targeted Shot damage bonus for the same window. Because Patch 12 cut the cloak's base cooldown from 120 to 90 seconds, and firing immediately after cloaking starts that cooldown early, the cloak often comes back before Lingering Concealment has even expired. The result is a class that is invulnerable a large fraction of the time, fully healed on every cycle, and firing at plus 75% damage throughout. The one rule is simple: fire the instant you cloak.

Survivability
Exceptional for the class. Full contested health refund and 2 seconds of invulnerability on every cloak, with the cloak frequently returning before the previous window ends
Boss
Strong. The pistol burst inside the cloak window does heavy single-target damage and the invulnerability covers boss attack patterns
Sniper
The only class with a Camo Cloak, an ability that hides you from enemies until your next attack breaks it. Its perk tree turns that cloak into far more than a stealth tool, layering damage multipliers, status cleansing, and an automatic cheat-death onto the same button.
The primary barely matters on this build, with one hard exception noted below. The Combi-Flamer is the easiest overall pick: it is a Bolt Carbine with an underslung flamer, so it keeps the carbine's excellent contested health recovery and ammo economy while adding horde clear. If you do not have it, the automatic Bolt Carbine functions almost identically and actually does slightly more damage. You just lose the flamer.

How to Obtain
Combat Strategy
- ▸Do not equip the Las Fusil. Its charge-up does not register as breaking Camo Cloak and it breaks the entire loop.
- ▸Confirm Purification, Targeted Shot, and Lingering Concealment are all slotted. The loop needs all three.
- ▸Take Emperor's Grace in the Prestige tree. It is what converts the loop from strong to invulnerable.
- ▸Activate Camo Cloak manually to trigger Purification's full contested health refund and Emperor's Grace invulnerability.
- ▸Fire immediately. This starts the cloak cooldown at the earliest point and applies Targeted Shot.
- ▸Keep firing through the Lingering Concealment window. The 75% bonus applies to every bullet, not just the first.
- ▸Cloak again as soon as it is available, which is often before the window has closed.
- ▸Switch to the Ophelian Liberation - Alpha Bolt Pistol inside the cloak window. Targeted Shot's bonus currently applies to all Bolt and Heavy Bolt Pistols.
- ▸Stand still for two seconds before opening to stack Vantage Point's 20% on top.
- ▸Prioritise headshots so Squad Renewal refunds ability charge across the squad.
- ▸Purification is the heal. Every manual cloak returns all contested health, so cloak rather than retreat.
- ▸Bolt Carbine fire is the fastest contested health recovery available outside the cloak.
- ▸Conviction covers the damage spikes that the cloak loop cannot, which is the main remaining way to die.
- ▸The Heroic burst pistol does not benefit from the Targeted Shot interaction. Avoid it while that remains true.
- ▸Melee Mastery over Block Break is worth considering on the Argent Edge, where 18 base Strength makes the 20% multiplicative bonus meaningful.
- ▸The two-second invulnerability is long enough to walk through attacks that would otherwise force a retreat. Use it aggressively rather than defensively.
