Tactical Salamanders Power Sword
TacticalA melee Tactical built on the Patch 15.0 perk rework. The Heroic Salamanders Power Sword turns every perfect parry into a bank of Speed-style light attacks that each hit for 300% more damage. Mobile Auspex pins the scan zone to your own position, so Bladesman's Mandate and Strongpoint stack extra melee damage and damage reduction wherever you fight. Tactical Reserve hands back a primary Bolt Rifle in the secondary slot, and Patch 15's melta buff makes the Heroic Combi-Melta a point-blank backup that staggers whole crowds.

Tactical
The all-rounder of the Space Marine 2 roster, with the widest weapon pool in the game and the Auspex Scan, a scanning pulse that marks enemies so they take extra damage. Since Patch 15.0 it can also wield Power Swords, Power Axes, and the One-Handed Thunder Hammer, at the cost of giving up its primary weapon slot.
The Heroic-tier Power Sword and the engine of the build. Its Fencing stance and 7+ speed keep the Speed-style light combo flowing, and Nocturne's Retort converts every perfect parry into empowered hits. Patch 15.0 opened the Power Sword to the Tactical class, with the catch that equipping it removes your primary weapon slot. Tactical Reserve is how this build gets a rifle back.

How to Obtain
The Tactical's class ability. It marks enemies inside its zone so they take more damage, 50% extra for everything below Terminus tier. On this build Mobile Auspex turns it into an aura that follows you, which is what lets Bladesman's Mandate and Strongpoint work in melee range.
How to Obtain
Combat Strategy
- ▸Keep the sword in Speed style. Nocturne's Retort only empowers Speed-style light attacks.
- ▸Confirm Tactical Reserve is slotted so the Combi-Melta sits in your secondary slot.
- ▸Top up the melta barrel at an ammo crate before big fights. Spare Power also returns Auspex charge on each pickup.
- ▸Activate Auspex Scan as you close in. Mobile Auspex drops the zone on top of you with a larger radius.
- ▸Bait the first attack into a perfect parry to bank 3 empower stacks and trigger Heightened Vigour.
- ▸Spend the stacks on a Speed-style light combo against marked enemies for the build's biggest hits.
- ▸Parry, then light combo. Two perfect parries fill the full 6-stack bank.
- ▸Gun Strike staggered enemies to restore armour with Armour Reinforcement and keep Armoured Strength active.
- ▸Throw a Power Rake when nothing is attacking, since Cutting Edge makes it worth using as filler.
- ▸Recast Auspex Scan whenever it is ready so Strongpoint and Bladesman's Mandate stay active.
- ▸Swap to the Combi-Melta and fire the melta barrel at point blank into a crowd to stagger everything in front of you.
- ▸Land a finisher before swapping. Emperor's Judgement reloads the rifle and adds 20% ranged damage for 10 seconds.
- ▸Throw grenades freely. Secure Stockpile refills the whole squad every 90 seconds.
- ▸Fight inside your own scan zone. Strongpoint cuts health damage by 20% for you and nearby squadmates.
- ▸Stay in Speed style to win back contested health, which Speed Restoration doubles.
- ▸Lean on Hard Target's ranged damage reduction during light combos when gunners are shooting at you.
