Vanguard Infinite Ammo Marksman
VanguardA high-damage Vanguard that fixes the class's usual weakness, weak sustained DPS, by running the Marksman Bolt Carbine. The Marksman variant has no damage drop-off and high damage per bullet, so ammo effectively never runs dry even without dedicated ammo-regen perks. Ranged kills trigger Tenacity to hypercharge the Diving Kick into a one-shot on Majoris enemies and Zoanthropes, while a stacked defensive perk core keeps you alive in melee. It drops the safer Zone of Impact playstyle for raw damage and asks for tighter health and headshot management in return.
Damage
One-shots Majoris and Zoanthropes via Tenacity-hypercharged Diving Kick (+130%). +30% headshot, +30% normal carbine damage
Survivability
Defensive quad-factor: +15% HP, 25% DR on armour break, plus constant armour regen. Insane sustain at low HP
Boss
Improved sustain and damage, but Vanguard is still slower at boss killing than top DPS classes

Vanguard
A high-mobility, close-quarters class built around the Grapnel Launcher, a grapple that yanks you onto a distant enemy and ends in a Diving Kick. It trades a dedicated heavy weapon for speed and strong solo survivability, with perks that reward aggressive engagement at any range.

Relic-tier Bolt Carbine in its Marksman variant and the core of the build. The Marksman turns the carbine into a rapid-firing, single-shot weapon with very controllable recoil, good accuracy, and added headshot damage and penetration. It has no damage drop-off, so you land full damage at any range, and the high damage-per-bullet means you almost never run out of ammo. Use it for headshots at long range to fuel Tenacity for the Diving Kick.
How to Obtain

Combat Strategy
- ▸Equip the Relic Gamma Power Axe for defensive counters before the fight starts.
- ▸Confirm the Marksman variant of the Bolt Carbine is selected, not the SMG variant, so you keep no damage drop-off and the headshot and penetration bonuses.
- ▸Keep the Grapnel Launcher ready so your first Diving Kick can capitalise on a Tenacity proc.
- ▸Engage targets from long range with the Marksman Bolt Carbine, which deals full damage with no drop-off.
- ▸Land headshots to secure a ranged kill on a Majoris-level enemy and trigger Tenacity.
- ▸Grapnel into the next priority target so the now-hypercharged Diving Kick one-shots a Majoris or Zoanthrope.
- ▸Use the Grapnel Launcher on cooldown for the Diving Kick and the Launch Restoration armour segment.
- ▸Keep firing headshots between Grapnel uses to refresh Tenacity for the next kick.
- ▸Let the Grapnel sit on cooldown so Grim Determination's 15% weapon damage stays active.
- ▸Fight from the low-health zone on purpose, where Rapid Health, Magazine Restoration, and Conviction all activate.
- ▸Use the Inferno Pistol on packs to restore armour through Trick Shot, since any armour blocks a full melee hit.
- ▸Rely on Adrenaline Rush and the Restoration perks to claw health and armour back through kills.
- ▸When a Majoris reaches melee, answer with a Power Wave into a Riposte, then finish with two or three carbine headshots.
- ▸Avoid constantly hip-firing the carbine to keep your accuracy high for headshots.
- ▸Use Upper Hand and Double Double Spirit hyper armour to ignore stagger during animations and push through heavy hits.
