Three Farming Routes for Fast XP and Eddies
Three loot-and-XP farming routes from Holy13, ordered from the one you can run as early as Act One to his favorite end-game loop in Valentino Valley. Each route pairs a repeatable enemy cluster with a nearby drop point, so you can loot, sell, and reset without leaving the area. The Valentino Valley loop is the deepest of the three, chaining more than a dozen gang clusters into one lap, and only opens up once Night City is fully explorable after the heist.
Before you start
- None for the Act One Watson route, it is reachable from the very start of the game
- The heist completed and Night City open for free roam, needed for the Pacifica and Valentino Valley routes
- A cyberdeck installed if you want the netrunner skill category to progress from the quickhacks the Pacifica route drops
Fundamentals Before You Grind
Sleep in V's Bed Before Every Session
A short rest in V's apartment bed, even a brief nap of around twenty minutes, grants a temporary boost to XP gained. It only takes a few seconds and stacks with everything else on this list, so make it a habit before heading out to farm.
Ride a Motorcycle for Longer Trips
For any route that requires travel between enemy clusters, a motorcycle covers ground faster and threads through Night City traffic more easily than a car.
Only Attack Gang Members, Never Civilians
Stick to killing Night City gang members. Even minor violence against regular pedestrians draws NCPD attention and interrupts the grind.
Favor Precise Weapons Over Spread Damage
Pistols and revolvers make clearing groups cleaner, while shotguns and the monowire are riskier if you are not paying close attention to your surroundings.
Loot Every Body, Scan for Leftovers, and Manage Weight
Pick up whatever gang members drop, whether it is loot on their bodies or the weapons they leave behind. Jump up and use your scanner afterward to confirm nothing was missed, and keep an eye on your carry weight so you are not forced to crawl to the next drop point or break down gear you could have sold instead.
Prioritize Loot Based on What You're Farming For
If Eddies or crafting materials are the goal, always grab the highest rarity drops, the orange and legendary items. If skill progression is the goal instead, watch for purple items, since those more often contain progression shards for your skill categories.
Check the Skill Progression Page for Your Build
Open the skill progression screen to see which weapon or cyberware needs to be equipped to level a specific category. Having points in Intelligence and a cyberdeck installed, for example, is what lets the Netrunner category progress at all.
Push Every Skill Category to at Least Level 35
Level 15 and level 35 each hand you a bonus perk point in that category, so it is worth leveling every skill tree to 35 for the extra points even if you do not plan to specialize in it.
Act One: Northside Industrial District
Grind the Two Maelstrom Clusters at Northside Industrial District East
Fast travel to the Northside Industrial District East point in Watson. A group of three Maelstrom gang members waits just steps away, and driving a short distance down the street finds a second group of three standing by their cars. Clear both, then repeat. The path between the two crosses a line that resets enemy spawns, which keeps this loop reliable even though the drive between groups feels slow. A drop point sits nearby for selling everything before the next lap.
Post-Heist: Pacifica Beach Loop
Fast Travel to Pacifica Pier and Clear the Coastline
Once the heist is done and Night City is fully open, fast travel to the Pacifica Pier point. Head down to the beach and follow the coastline toward Grand Imperial Mall. Hostile Voodoo Boys clusters along the way are marked with gray circles on the minimap and can be cleared freely.
Clear the Beach Cottages and the Big PartyOptional
Check the beach cottages along the way, especially the large gathering right next to the beach, which holds a sizable group of enemies. Loot every body and pick up dropped weapons. Netrunners at the beach houses occasionally drop quickhacks, worth grabbing if V is running a cyberdeck.
Reset the Loop at the Bridge
Push to the beach house next to the party, then turn back toward the bridge, taking out the same group again on the way past. Cross underneath the bridge and either double jump and air dash back across, or call in a vehicle to drive back quickly, resetting the enemies for another lap. A drop point sits right by the fast travel point where the loop started.
End-Game Favorite: Valentino Valley Loop
Take Out the Three Valentinos at the TV
Turn around from the fast travel point and clear the three gang members gathered around the TV.
Head Down the Alley and Stairs for Another Three
Turn around again, head down the alley, and take the stairs down to find a second group of three.
Pop the Ledge for the Next Group
Climb the ledge, or use the nearby stairs, to reach another cluster of three.
Turn Around for Your Next Three Targets
Turn around from that spot to find the next three waiting nearby.
Clear the Eight-Valentino Courtyard
Take the stairs down into the next alley, which opens into a wider area holding a full eight Valentinos in one spot.
Follow the Passageway and Turn Right for Three More
Continue along the next passageway, take the stairs down, and turn right to find another group of three.
Take the Stairs Up Next to That Group for Three More
Right beside that group, head up the nearby stairs to find another three.
Clear the Table Group, Then a Sharp Right for Three More
Turn around and head back down to find a group of three sitting at a table. From there, take a sharp right for another three.
Skip the Gig Valentinos and Head Upstairs for Three More
Head back but leave the Valentinos guarding the nearby gig alone, since they are tied to a mission and will not respawn. Pass them, take the stairs up, and turn around to find three more.
Turn Around Again for the Next Three
From there, turn around once more to spot the next group of three.
Clear the Group Between the Two Cars
Head further down the passage to find another group of three Valentinos standing between two parked cars.
Push Further Down the Passageway for One More Group
Continue past that point until the next passageway, which holds another three.
Finish with the Last Three Up the Stairs
Turn around, take the stairs up, and go sharp left to find the last three Valentinos of the lap.
Reset by Fast Traveling Out and Back
Return to the fast travel point and travel to another district, such as Pacifica Pier, since it has a drop point close by. Sell off the loot, then fast travel back to Valentino Valley to start the lap again.
