Use Your Cast to Ensnare Groups of Enemies

Dropping your Cast creates a large zone that roots enemies in place, giving you breathing room since Melinoë only has one dash. Use it to control spacing and keep dangerous enemies at a safe distance.

2

Drop Cast Mid-Omega Charge Without Interrupting It

You can release your Cast while charging an Omega move without breaking the charge. This lets you set up the ensnare zone and continue building toward your Omega in the same motion.

3

Pick Demeter, Hestia, or Zeus for Early Cast Boons

Demeter's Cast freezes enemies outright while you learn their patterns. Hestia's applies a strong Scorch effect over a wide area. Zeus's variant delivers solid single-target damage with no setup required. Any of the three is a strong foundation for early runs.

4

Alternate Attacks and Specials with the Staff

With the Staff of Flames, chaining attacks and specials back to back increases your damage output significantly compared to spamming either one alone. A quick thumb slide across both buttons keeps the rhythm going.

5

Track the Real Hecate by Sound and Status Effects

When Hecate splits into copies, listen for her voice. Audio only plays from her true position. Any status effects you applied before the split stay on the real Hecate and vanish from the duplicates.

Skip Eris by Staying Below Half Health Before a Boss

Eris applies the Blessing of Strife, which makes you take 20% more damage for the rest of that encounter. If you enter the boss fight before her appearance with less than half health and no Death Defiances remaining, she will not show up.

Always Take Psyche Over Ash When Offered

Ash is the common resource for unlocking Arcana Cards, but Psyche is rarer and harder to come by. When a door offers Psyche, take it regardless of what else is on offer.

2

Follow This Arcana Card Unlock Order Early

Start with the Sorceress, then unlock Wayward Son, The Furies, Persistence, and Death for your first Death Defiances. Follow up with The Huntress, The Centaur, and Origination, which provides bonus damage whenever two curses are active.

Skip Eternity, The Messenger, and Swift Runner Early

These three Arcana Cards offer little value until your build has room to specialize. Spend your early Grasp on survivability and damage multipliers instead.

Learn When to Prioritize Power vs. Percentage Boons

Power is your base damage value, and flat-percentage Boons multiply from that number. If you already have many percent bonuses, picking up more base Power raises all of them. If your base is high but your multipliers are thin, look for percentage Boons instead.

5

Gift Nectar to Odysseus and Skelly First

Odysseus's Knuckle Bones Keepsake is a flexible tool against early bosses. Skelly's Luckier Tooth grants an extra Death Defiance, giving you a safety net for tough encounters. Unlock these two before moving on to Moros and the Olympian gods.

Gift All Olympian Gods Once to Unlock the Codex

Giving Nectar to every Olympian god at least once unlocks an incantation at the cauldron. Completing it opens the Codex, which lets you browse all available Boons at any time.

Talk to Every NPC with an Exclamation Mark

An exclamation point above a character's head signals new dialogue. Some side quests and key story beats only unlock by having these conversations. Make a habit of checking everyone before leaving the House.
