Play Story Line Mode for Canonical Order
If the prerequisite heist order feels unclear, Story Line mode walks you through everything in canonical sequence. Completing it naturally unlocks all the required trophies needed to begin the secret.
Maximize Every Safehouse Upgrade First
Every trophy earned from the prerequisite heists must be displayed, and Scarface's room in the safehouse must be fully upgraded before the secret becomes accessible.
Play the Piano to Activate the Apparatus
Head to the piano in Scarface's fully upgraded room and play the oldest song in the world. On the ninth note an achievement unlocks and the apparatus snaps into its final configuration.

Use the Medallion to Unlock the Three Coffers
Retrieve the medallion from Duke's desk inside the safehouse, then use it to open the three coffers in the kitchen. Unpack the contents and combine them with the obsidian plate to assemble the apparatus.
Burn Bain's Guide With the Diamond
Pick up the Diamond from a stool in the kitchen, left there by Vlad. Carry it to Bain's Guide in Duke's room. The two making contact will cause the Guide to turn to ash.
Confirm the Golden Glow Before Tearing Down the Painting
After meeting all conditions with your full crew, check the PEOC conference room for a painting radiating golden light. If the glow isn't present, at least one player hasn't completed their personal ritual and the secret won't trigger.
Feed the Mayan Gold to the Ark's Outer Ring
After The Dentist is down, grab the bag of Mayan gold that Locke brought and distribute its contents around the outer ring of the Ark. This feeds it and triggers the final sequence to complete the secret.

Screenshot All 20 Messages From the Apparatus
Interacting with the apparatus cycles through 20 unique messages in the ancient language. Capture a screenshot of every one before translating, as you'll need all 20 to identify your full list of required achievements.
Read the Ancient Language Right to Left
The cipher text flows right to left, the opposite of English. When the language appears on a circular surface like the Ark's wheel, read counter-clockwise rather than clockwise.
Cross-Reference Translations With the Crowdsourced List
Translate just the first few words of each message, then compare them against the community-compiled achievement list on the forums. That's enough to pinpoint which 20 challenges your account has been assigned.
Never Skip Translating Your Own Tablet
Every player's 20 messages are drawn randomly from a larger pool, so no two tablets are identical. There is no universal answer. You must translate your own tablet every time, with no shortcuts.
Save the Middle Ring Letter for Last
Two of the four levers affect the middle ring on the Ark's wheel, including the back-right lever which only affects the middle ring. Leave the middle letter as your final adjustment so solving it doesn't disturb the others.

Host the White House Heist on OVERKILL
You must be the lobby host when launching the White House contract, and difficulty must be set to OVERKILL or higher. OVERKILL itself is the right call, as there's no reason to push harder than necessary.
Gather a Lobby of Four Completed Players
All four lobby slots must be filled by players who have completed their own obsidian tablet rituals. This applies to everyone in the crew; no one gets carried through this step.
Don't Disconnect or Crash After the Tunnel
Once the team descends into the tunnel beneath the White House, any player who disconnects or crashes cannot rejoin until the heist ends. Make sure every player's setup is stable before crossing that threshold.

Don't Run a Stealth-Only Loadout
The White House contract will go loud at some point regardless of how carefully you play the early section. A build that can't function in a firefight will leave you stranded when that happens.
Pack Infinitely Rechargeable Weapons
Enemy guardians respawn endlessly and ammo is finite with no way to return to the surface. Equip weapons with natural recharge cycles: throwing knives or a bow and arrow both work well for sustained output.
Prioritize Inspire and Ammo Bags Over Healing
The guardian enemies don't count knockdowns against you, so healing bags aren't necessary. Build around Inspire, ammo bags, and fast reload perks to keep the whole team moving.
Shoot The Dentist the Instant He Appears
When The Dentist enters the temple and steps into view, open fire on his head immediately. The window is short, and hesitating causes an instant heist failure.
