The Crimson Arbiter of Inferno
Pyric CultistA light-load battle mage that dual-wields General Engstrom's twin hammers to run Ignite and Burn on the same target at once. The Ring of Infernal Devotion cross-procs the two statuses, Princess' Sting pays out extra damage for keeping equip load in the Light bracket, and a three-eye Umbral Lamp adds two extra Soulflay charges plus 25% bonus soul damage for stripping boss health bars.
Damage
627 Attack Power per hammer at +10, A+ Strength and Inferno scaling, Ignite and Burn running together
Survivability
Light equip load, no heavy mitigation. Dodge frames and range are the only defense
Boss
Two extra Soulflay charges and +25% soul damage strip boss health bars fast

Pyric Cultist
Pyric Cultist opens with the highest Inferno attunement of any starting class, so fire spells and Inferno-scaling weapons come online right away. It starts light on armor and already holding a catalyst, which suits a character that wants to cast and swing in the same fight.

One half of General Engstrom's paired hammers. Carries the higher fire split of the two and applies Ignite buildup on hit, which is the status the Ring of Infernal Devotion feeds off. Dual-wielding it alongside Punishment unlocks the pair's special attack set.
Runes
How to Obtain

The strongest Inferno catalyst in the game once fully upgraded. Reaches S-rank Inferno scaling at max level and carries five spell slots, which is what lets this build run a full offensive spell list alongside its melee kit instead of choosing between them.
How to Obtain

Pendant that scales your damage up as your equip load drops. This is the reason the build skips heavy armor entirely, and it is the single largest multiplier in the setup.
How to Obtain

Goes in the main socket for its extra Soulflay charge and Dread Resistance. This is the first of the three eyes that push the lamp to two bonus charges.
How to Obtain

Armor is entirely open on this build. The only rule is that your total equip load stays inside the Light bracket, because Princess' Sting pays out its damage bonus based on how little you are carrying. Heavy plate cancels the pendant's whole reason for being equipped, so treat the weight number as the stat you are optimizing and pick whatever pieces look right underneath that ceiling. Check your load after socketing runes and swapping weapons, since both hammers and the catalyst count toward the total.
Combat Strategy
- ▸Cast Infernal Weapon to imbue the hammers with additional fire damage.
- ▸Cast Adyr's Rage before the fog wall for a 90 second window of 10% increased damage.
- ▸Confirm equip load is still in the Light bracket after any gear or rune swap.
- ▸Open from range with Lava Burst, or Magma Surge if the target has to hold ground.
- ▸Soulflay to pull the enemy's soul out before closing distance.
- ▸Close in while the lava pool is still burning to start Burn buildup for free.
- ▸Alternate hammer swings so Judgement applies Ignite and Punishment applies Burn.
- ▸The Ring of Infernal Devotion adds Ignite on every Burn application, stacking both statuses at once.
- ▸Use the paired dual-wield attacks rather than single-hammer strings to apply both statuses faster.
- ▸Fire Seismic Slam into grouped enemies or a staggered boss for a line of explosions.
- ▸Refresh Adyr's Rage if the fight runs past 90 seconds.
- ▸Spend banked Soulflay charges here, since the lamp setup adds 25% damage to the extracted soul.
- ▸Sanguinarix is the only real healing source, so upgrade it with Saintly Quintessences early.
- ▸Stay mobile rather than trading hits, because the Light load leaves almost no physical mitigation.
- ▸Back off to range and reapply pressure with Lava Burst when health gets low.
