Dual Spear Veil-Piercer and Saint Latimer's Relic
Pyric CultistA level 200 dual-wield spear build that runs two Wither weapons at once, so enemy health bars drain faster than they can be recovered. Veil-Piercer layers Frostbite procs on top of physical and Wither damage while Saint Latimer's Relic Spear supplies the raw attack power. An Inferno catalyst carries five buff and summon spells that stack defense, stamina regeneration, and a flat damage increase before every fight.
Damage
Two Wither weapons plus Frostbite procs, 10% from Adyr's Rage, Infernal Weapon fire layer, and dual-wield bonus damage.
Survivability
30% defense and resistance from Adyr's Hardiness. 368 physical mitigation on the chest alone.
Boss
Wither chip cannot be healed back. Frostbite procs open large bonus damage windows.

Pyric Cultist
Starts with the highest Inferno scaling of any class and an Inferno catalyst already equipped, which is the fastest route to the Adyr shout buffs this build leans on. Its stat spread stays flexible enough to grow into heavy melee later.

The main hand spear and the reason the stat spread touches every attribute. It splits its damage evenly between physical and Wither, then adds Frostbite buildup on top. Proccing Frostbite dumps a large chunk of damage and leaves the target more vulnerable afterward. Its rune slots are all universal shape, so any rune you own can go in.
How to Obtain

Five spell slots is the whole reason this catalyst is here, because the build runs five spells and nothing less would fit them. Spellpower barely matters since every spell equipped is a buff or a summon rather than a damage nuke. Its Inferno scaling climbs high enough with upgrades that you could slot real fire sorceries if you ever wanted them.
How to Obtain

Head slot. Its damage mitigation leans hard into Holy and Wither, which covers the two damage types the endgame throws at you most, and it carries respectable Smite and Bleed resistance for a medium helm. It is also cheap to get compared to the rest of the loadout.
How to Obtain

Cuts the mana cost of shout and buff sorceries by roughly 40%, which is exactly what five buff spells need. Without it you burn most of a mana bar just setting up before a boss. With it you can re-buff mid-fight without thinking about it.
How to Obtain

Combat Strategy
- ▸Cast Adyr's Rage for the flat 10% increase to every damage type you deal.
- ▸Cast Adyr's Hardiness for 30% more defense and resistances, since dual-wielding means no shield.
- ▸Cast Adyr's Endurance so stamina regeneration can keep up with continuous attack chains.
- ▸Cast Infernal Weapon last so the fire and burn layer is fresh when the fight starts.
- ▸Confirm the Cavalry Pendant is equipped before buffing, or the full sequence costs nearly a whole mana bar.
- ▸Summon an Infernal Guardian just outside the target's aggro range so it starts chipping immediately.
- ▸Close with the Veil-Piercer in the main hand and open with a dual-wield attack chain.
- ▸Aim for the sweet spot at the tip of the spear, which rewards the extra reach with higher damage.
- ▸Run uninterrupted dual-wield chains and let Grayson's Ring keep the stamina cost low.
- ▸Watch the Frostbite meter build from the Veil-Piercer and keep pressure on until it procs.
- ▸After a Frostbite proc the target takes increased damage, so commit to a longer chain in that window.
- ▸Refresh Infernal Weapon and the Adyr buffs at the 90 second mark, using the guardian to hold aggro while you cast.
- ▸Land a Frostbite proc, then immediately use Saint Latimer's special attack for poison plus roughly 25% extra damage per thrust.
- ▸The two-handed special slams the ground and erupts a poison cloud, which is the better option against grouped enemies.
- ▸Each special attack consumes a full Soulflay charge, so save them for a proc window rather than spending them on cooldown.
- ▸Wither damage from both spears means chip damage the enemy takes cannot be healed back, so pressure is never wasted.
- ▸Adyr's Hardiness carries most of the defensive load. Recast it before it expires rather than reacting after a big hit.
- ▸Back off and let the Infernal Guardian keep dealing damage while you drink from the Sanguinarix.
- ▸Spear reach lets you disengage a step and still land hits, which is the safest way to reset a bad trade.
- ▸Against bosses that resist Frostbite, lean on the raw attack power of Saint Latimer's Relic Spear and its special attack instead.
- ▸Re-summon the Infernal Guardian during phase transition animations so background damage continues through the swap.
- ▸Against fast multi-hit combos, use spear range to poke between attacks rather than committing to a full chain.
- ▸Do not two-hand a single spear. The entire damage profile assumes both Wither weapons and Grayson's Ring are active.
