Onmyo Mage
A spellcasting playstyle built around the Onmyo Magic skill tree. Every spell scales with the Magic stat, and the build relies on Onmyo Magic Power bonuses on armor and accessories to push spell damage well above what melee weapons can output during a first playthrough. Ranged elemental spells and defensive talismans replace the usual stamina-management dance, letting you fight from a safer distance.
Primary weapon. Scales naturally with Magic (A- after Double Remodel), so every point spent on Onmyo Magic Power also raises melee output. Use it to finish weakened enemies and conserve Onmyo Magic capacity for bosses. Look for variants with Attack Bonus (Magic) or Active Skill bonuses rolled on.

How to Obtain
The build's defining armor set. Every piece rolls Onmyo Magic Power as a guaranteed bonus, and the Cuirass and Gauntlets carry Unlimited Onmyo, which gives every Onmyo Magic cast a chance to not consume a charge. Light Armor, so equipment load stays under 70% without major Stamina investment.

How to Obtain
Accessory with the highest base Onmyo Magic Power roll in the game (+24 fixed). Also supports rolled secondary effects critical to the build: Life Drain (Magic Hit) converts spell damage into healing, and Elemental Damage Increase or Melee Damage vs Poisoned Enemy stack additional damage layers.
How to Obtain
Phantom-type spirit purpose-built for Onmyo casters. Grants Stalwart (Onmyo Magic), which prevents knockback and interruption during spell casts, and stacks Elemental Damage Taken -15% once Constitution + Stamina reaches 32. Anima Bonus (Onmyo Magic Hit) refills the Yokai gauge with every spell that lands.
How to Obtain
Yokai skill applies Scorch (fire) on contact and serves as the build's elemental opener for the Ippon-Datara burst combo. Life Drain on Yokai Ability Hit also passes some sustain through the Yokai gauge, which is useful when Magic is on cooldown after an Unlimited Onmyo run-out.

Combat Strategy
- ▸Apply Protection Talisman before engaging. At 100+ Magic this absorbs a meaningful single-hit chunk and breaks one-shot mechanics.
- ▸Apply Barrier Talisman to boost Ki recovery and dispel any Yokai Realm pools you walk into.
- ▸Check your Onmyo Magic capacity. Buy Incantation Mastery ranks and slot a Divination Board reroll if Familiars and Shots are running short before bosses.
- ▸Cast Sloth Talisman the moment the boss aggros. Movement and attack speed drop sharply, making the rest of the fight a stationary target practice.
- ▸Cast a Lightning or Water Shikigami so the four orbs are already orbiting before you commit to a damage rotation.
- ▸Strong Attack to direct all four orbs at the boss for the first elemental burst.
- ▸Alternate Geyser Shot Talisman III and Thunderstorm Shot Talisman III from outside the boss's reach. Switch elements based on resistance.
- ▸Re-cast the Shikigami familiar whenever the 20-second timer expires, then Strong Attack to dump the orbs again.
- ▸Stack Magic Hit on the Divination Board so every spell that lands also restores health. Keep Sloth refreshed when the timer runs low.
- ▸When the boss is staggered or Sloth-frozen, activate Kasha's Hellfire Wheel to apply Scorch.
