Desert Mage
Labyrinth SetA rapid-fire caster built around the Labyrinth armor set, cycling Breath of the Desert at near-constant uptime by alternating the mod with a single Shotgun blast. Corrosion from the Hive Cannon primes targets before each burst, letting Galenic Charm and Power Surge push mod damage to its peak. Burden of the Follower doubles mod generation at the cost of fire rate, a penalty the mod/shot alternation loop sidesteps entirely.

Moderate. No dedicated defensive mechanics. Relies on high kill speed to avoid sustained damage.

Labyrinth Set
A three-piece armor set found in the Labyrinth, the dimension between worlds. Wearing all three pieces activates Power Surge, a set bonus that amplifies weapon mod damage by 50% and refunds 10% of mod power after every cast. It is the foundation of the mod cycling loop.
The backbone of the mod loop. Top-tier DPS with the fastest mod power generation of any long gun. A single blast is usually enough to fully reload Breath of the Desert, making the alternation loop feel nearly instant.

How to Obtain
All three pieces must be equipped to activate Power Surge. Without the full set the build loses its primary damage multiplier. Armor value scales significantly with upgrades.
How to Obtain
Adds a flat +25% bonus to all weapon mod damage. Combined with Labyrinth's Power Surge and the Corroded debuff, every Breath of the Desert cast hits significantly harder than baseline.
How to Obtain
Creates an area cloud granting bonus fire rate and reload speed to all players standing in it. Apply before engaging to offset Burden of the Follower's fire rate penalty.

Combat Strategy
- ▸Apply Frenzy Dust before the fight for +15% fire rate and reload speed, offsetting Burden of the Follower's penalty.
- ▸Use Adrenaline for improved movement speed and standing aim mobility throughout the encounter.
- ▸Confirm all three Labyrinth armor pieces are equipped to keep Power Surge active.
- ▸Fire Hive Shot from the Hive Cannon to apply the Corroded status debuff to your primary target.
- ▸Corroded reduces enemy defense and enables Galenic Charm's full mod damage amplification.
- ▸Reapply Hive Shot whenever the Corroded debuff falls off. Keeping it active is essential to peak damage output.
- ▸On the Shotgun, cast Breath of the Desert, then immediately fire one shot. Both actions are on the same weapon. No switching needed.
- ▸That single shot typically refills the mod charge instantly. Cast Breath of the Desert again and repeat as fast as possible.
- ▸Firing just once between each cast means you never wait through the slowed fire rate window imposed by Burden of the Follower.
- ▸Switch to the Hive Cannon only when Corroded falls off, reapply Hive Shot, then switch straight back to the Shotgun.
- ▸With Evoker's Seal equipped, the 15% mod power refund can sometimes make the Shotgun shot optional, allowing back-to-back Breath of the Desert casts.
- ▸Swap Evoker's Seal for Burden of the Gambler if you want critical hit potential on Breath of the Desert for larger individual bursts.
- ▸Use Corrosive Aura on a preferred handgun as a hands-free corrosion alternative if manual Hive Shot reapplication breaks your rhythm.
