Rushdown Infinite

Up to DateNo DLC
The WatcherThe Watcher
Max DmgSpeedster

The engine behind a world-record 38-win streak on Ascension 20. By trimming the deck to around ten cards and exploiting the interaction between Rushdown and a pair of cheap stance transitions, this build generates net energy on every cycle while drawing back its entire hand. Once the loop fires, it ends the fight in a single turn.

Damage

Infinite once the loop activates. Fights end in a single turn.

Survivability

High. Mental Fortress stacks block with every stance switch during the loop.

Boss

Dominant. Time Eater and The Heart punish loops but are manageable with pre-built block.

Class Breakdown
The Watcher

The Watcher

The Watcher is a monk hero who shifts between three combat stances: Wrath, Calm, and Divinity. Wrath doubles all damage dealt and received; exiting Calm restores 2 energy. These two mechanics are the foundation the infinite loop runs on.

Core Cards4 items
Rushdown
Rushdown

The linchpin of the infinite loop. Every time you enter Wrath, it draws 2 cards, refilling your hand with the Calm entry you just played. Upgrading reduces its cost to 0, freeing up energy earlier in the loop.

Scrawl
Scrawl

A rare find that can instantly set up the loop in a single play. Draws cards until your hand is full, then exhausts itself, removing one non-essential card from future draw cycles while maximizing your current hand size.

Combat Strategy

1Phase 1/4
Preparation
3 steps
  1. Spend gold on card removals at shops and events before any relic or upgrade purchase.
  2. Identify your Calm entry: Inner Peace is the default pick, Fear No Evil works when the enemy is telegraphing an attack.
  3. Upgrade Eruption as early as possible to bring its cost from 2 down to 1.
2Phase 2/4
Opening Combo
3 steps
  1. Play all Power cards first (Rushdown, Mental Fortress) to clear them from the draw pile for the rest of combat.
  2. Play your Miracle (the free 0-cost energy card the Watcher generates automatically each combat) and any Exhaust cards like Scrawl to thin the hand before the loop starts.
  3. Enter Wrath with Eruption or another 1-cost entry to trigger Rushdown and begin cycling.
3Phase 3/4
Core Rotation
4 steps
  1. Play a 1-cost Wrath entry. Rushdown immediately draws 2 cards, returning your Calm entry to hand.
  2. Play your 1-cost Calm entry. Exiting Wrath grants no bonus, but the Calm exit on the next cycle returns 2 energy.
  3. Gain 2 energy from the Calm exit. Spend 1 to reenter Wrath, netting +1 energy per full cycle.
  4. Repeat until the fight ends. Each cycle redraws your entire small deck.
4Phase 4/4
Boss Strategy
3 steps
  1. Against Time Eater, which ends your turn at 12 cards played, ensure Mental Fortress is active before starting the loop so block is already built up.
  2. Against The Heart, which deals damage for every card played, pre-stack block via Mental Fortress before going infinite.
  3. Talk to the Hand is a strong alternative here: play it once to apply an aura on the target, then each attack during the loop adds block.
