Scroll Past the Last Compendium Tab
After completing a couple of runs, the Compendium unlocks in the hub. Navigate all the way to the last visible tab, then go one more step to the right past what looks like the end. That extra step triggers the first secret.
Complete the Hidden Credits Mini-Game
From the main menu, open the Credits and a playable mini-game loads. You spawn with a random weapon and power-ups and have 30 seconds to kill enemies. Finishing it unlocks the Doom Shell Relic.
Repair Bob's Containment Field Over Multiple Runs
Buy the glass vial from Arlen's shop for one gold. It breaks on purchase and releases a small green slime. On a future run, find Bob the Blob in a shop room, offer him a relic in exchange for a jar, then return to the Nexus and speak with both Esper and Arlen to have it repaired into the legendary Bob's Containment Field.

Burn an Apple With a Fire Skill
When you find an apple during a run, hit it with any fire skill to burn it. The apple transforms into a pie, which counts as Secret 3.
Slice the Apple Pie When You Find One
After burning an apple into a pie, hit the pie to slice it into several smaller pie slices. This counts as a separate secret from the burning step itself.
Cook Meat With Fire for Double Healing
Use any fire skill on a piece of raw meat during a run to cook it well done. A cooked piece of meat heals for 20 HP instead of the usual 10.
Overcook Meat a Second Time to Remove It
Take an already-cooked piece of meat and hit it with fire a second time to overcook it. The meat is destroyed completely, which unlocks Secret 6.
Smack Esper Three Times for Outfit Powder
Head to Esper in the hub and hit her three times with your weapon. This unlocks Secret 7 and rewards you with a special powder that unlocks a new outfit.
Destroy Arlen's Shop Sign Across Multiple Runs
Attack and destroy Arlen's sign in his shop during a run. He rebuilds it stronger each time, so keep knocking it down across successive runs until the final sign is gone. Destroying the last version earns the Vandal unlock as Secret 8.
Smack the Mimic King's Record Player Repeatedly
The Mimic King's room spawns randomly, usually in the first area. Find the record player next to him and keep hitting it; it takes around 20 hits to destroy. Breaking it unlocks Secret 10.
Bomb the Waterfall Cliff Face in World One
You need the Bomb Blast skill equipped, which is only available in World One. Use it on the cliff face beside the waterfall to blast open a hidden cave and find the Color of Change relic inside, which also unlocks yellow Ember dust. On a first save file this secret may additionally unlock the Ember Pit at the Nexus.
Wake the Sleeping Mimic King With a Smack
After encountering the Mimic King several times, you'll eventually find him sleeping in his room. Do not open any chests in the room; opening a chest wakes him but cancels the secret. Walk up and smack him directly to trigger Secret 12.
Break the Ice Pillar in the Portal Room
After defeating the second boss, check the portal room for a small character hiding behind an ice pillar. Smash the ice pillar to reveal the hidden figure and unlock Secret 13.
Purge the Stewards in the Main Hub
In the main hub, find any steward and press your action button on them several times in a row. Repeating this until the interaction completes unlocks Newton's Law as Secret 14.
