Best Assassin's Creed Shadows Builds

Assassin's Creed Shadows splits builds across two protagonists with completely different systems. Naoe's kit is stealth-first: light armor, a katana, and shuriken, built around ability trees for infiltration, assassination multipliers, and tool-based crowd control. Yasuke plays as a heavy-combat samurai, wielding Long Katanas, Naginatas, Kanabos, and firearms with armor built for direct confrontation instead of concealment. The real depth for either character comes from Engravings, the perk system attached to Epic and Legendary gear. A piece drops with one fixed engraving and, on Epics, a second random slot; Legendaries can have that second slot rerolled by pulling a matching engraving off another item entirely, which is how a build ends up naming very specific donor weapons alongside its core gear. Mastery points, earned separately from ability points, deepen investment in a chosen weapon type and often feed directly into an amulet's scaling engraving. Because several of the strongest legendary pieces are locked behind specific quests, Legendary Chests, or rotating Animus Exchange cosmetic drops, a build is as much a checklist of where to go as it is a final loadout.
