Achieves practical immortality by spamming high-frequency hits to drop Amrita on every connect, which the Nuppeppo Soul Core then converts into health via Life Recovery on Amrita absorption. Pairs Tonfas for infinite ground and air flurries with Odachi for heavy AoE finishers, then layers Unshakable and Oppressive Strength so you can face-tank through boss movesets instead of dodging. The heal loop stops the moment you stop attacking, so aggression itself becomes the heal source.

Untouched Onmyo Mage Build

Class: Ninja / Onmyo

Stacks seven pieces of Grace of Tsukuyomi with the Shrine Maiden and Jurojin graces to reach 67% Untouched Onmyo, so two casts out of three cost nothing. Damage comes from the rank 3 elemental shots rather than the stronger Hell spells, because eight charges give the Untouched roll far more chances to fire than the two or three charges a Hell spell carries. Life Drain on magic hits and constant Amrita gauge charge keep the caster fuelled with no downtime, which is what lets a cloth-armor mage hold up through Stone of Penance 7 and three player co-op.

Loops two mid-stance Axe Martial Arts, Tornado Edge and Victory Rush, so Arts Proficiency never falls off. Turns the Hell Rising Hoko & Shield into a walking fortress by opening every fight with Rending Charge, a Mid Stance advance that holds an unbreakable frontal guard while it closes distance and paints your weapon element onto the target. A Guardian Spirit attack layered on top applies a second element for instant Confusion and refunds the Ki you just spent, so the pressure loop never has to stop. Once Arts Proficiency fills, a light attack into a heavy triggers Earthsplitter for up to 80,000 damage and holding heavy chains into Guard Punch to shred whatever survived, all while Grace of Amaterasu halves incoming damage for never dropping below full health.

Pre-buffs to nuclear levels by stacking the three Hell-talismans (Hellfire, Hellgust, Hellshock) for Confusion, layering Yasakani Magatama's set-discount trick across Brave Demon Hunter, Warrior of the East, and a 7-piece Grace of Inari, then activating Rage on a swap-out Axe before re-equipping the Sword. Every multiplier dumps into a single charged Sword of Meditation strike that lands for 60,000 to 90,000 damage and deletes most New Game Plus bosses in two hits. Highly vulnerable while charging since Double-Edged Arts adds 30% damage taken on top of the build's already glass-cannon stat spread.

Onmyo Magic Ninja Build

Class: Ninja / Onmyo

Pre-buffs Carnage and Talisman of the Fist for raw attack power, then opens with Lightning Shot, Explosive Shot, and Hellgust to stack Lightning, Fire, and Wind on a single target until Confusion procs. Once Confused, the target's incoming damage multiplier and Saturation from water effects let a single Hellshock cast melt bosses in two to three hits. The Grace of Jurojin five-piece adds Life Drain on Onmyo hits and Onmyo Magic Power +50, while a four-piece Shinto Priest set hits the five-piece Servant of the Gods bonus through Yasakani Magatama, granting Enhanced Onmyo Magic from every Sacred Water use. Endgame-only because the Quaking Tonfa, Fujin Helmet, and Grace of Jurojin pieces all farm out of the level 199 Occurs Temple route after the main story.

That switching is the defining feature of the game's builds, because a loadout is really two loadouts that need to complement each other rather than duplicate coverage. Masteries provide the deeper progression within each style, and points spent there unlock the techniques that make a style worth switching into. Traits add another layer of passive effects on top. Stats continue to scale specific weapon types as in the previous games, so a build's spread follows from the weapons chosen for both styles. Gear rolls with random effects, and tempering lets you reroll toward the specific bonuses a build needs, which makes gear a target to farm toward rather than a fixed drop. Because the game is patched regularly, effect values and set bonuses are worth checking against the current version before committing materials to a piece.
